Abstract

The study was conducted to set a detection method for exogenous gene of genetically modified (GM) soybean resistant to glyphosate and its processed products by loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) method. Four specific primers were designed according to the 6 distinct sequences on the target region of CP4-EPSPS gene. Samples of soybean, soybean meal and feedstuff containing soybean were detected by LAMP method. The results indicated that the CP4-EPSPS gene was successfully detected by LAMP method and the sensitivity was 100 to 1 000 fold higher than PCR. The LAMP method is easy to operate and can be used for the rapid identification of GM soybean and its processed products.[Chinese Journal of Animal Nutrition,2011,23(3):480-485]
