Abstract

Feed intake plays an important role in determining the production performance in lactating sows. As one of the typical feeding inhibitors, peptide tyrosine-tyrosine has important effects on negative-regulating feed intake and promoting digestion in animals. The main biological characteristics and physiological functions of peptide tyrosine-tyrosine, and its potential application in lactating sows are reviewed in this paper.[Chinese Journal of Animal Nutrition, 2010,22(5):1142-1146]
