Abstract

Dairy cow mastitis is a common metabolic disease of cows, and with an increasing incidence rate. Recently, Oxidative stress is a major problem in the dairy farming industry, it plays a key role in the cow mammary gland cells induced damage or dysfunction, which is mainly the reduction of antioxidative function in the production and scavenging of free radicals caused by the imbalance. And sustained oxidative stress can generate large amounts of oxygen free radicals that affect the metabolism, proliferation and differentiation of normal cells. It may also further induce the autoimmune response to form a waterfall effect, causing irreversible damage of the mammary epidermal cell. Nuclear factor E2-related factor 2-antioxidant response element (Nrf2-ARE) signaling pathway plays an important function in the defense against exogenous stimulation and oxidative stress. Oxidative stress, oxidative stress and transition cow mastitis, oxidative stress regulation mechanisms for animals themselves were summarized in this article, which had important significance to ensure that the dairy cows can maintain a healthy body, play the normal function of lactation and improve production performance during transition.
