Abstract

As a kind of natural feed additive, yeast preparations have been widely applied to improve performance for ruminants. However, the application effects on ruminants are inconsistent and the action mechanisms have not been fully clear by now. In order to learn more about the mechanism and provide foundation for rational application of yeast preparations, this article reviewed the recent advances in yeast preparations affect action modes of ruminal microecosystem and performance of ruminants, and summarized the factors influencing yeast preparations.
