Abstract

The structure and function of animal intestinal flora has gradually become a research hotspot. The colonization of animal intestinal flora occurs during the birth process and early postnatal period of animals, and some factors such as day of age, birth method, use of probiotics and antibiotics and diet will all have a certain impact on the early colonization of intestinal flora. In addition, the early colonization of animal intestinal flora may affect the health of animals and the occurrence and development of diseases, and even affect their health in adulthood. Therefore, This article reviews the factors of early colonization of animal intestinal flora and the effects of intestinal flora on health, and to provide references for understand the process of colonization of animal intestinal flora, the interaction between the flora and the host, and the long-term effects of this process.
