Advances in the Effects of Dietary Energy and Protein Levels on Reproduction Performance of Dairy Cows

Abstract

Decline in reproductive performance of dairy cows was closely related to dietary energy and protein levels. This paper systematically introduced the research progress of the effects of dietary energy and protein levels on the reproductive performance of dairy cows, focusing on negative energy balance (NEB) and dietary protein, fatty acid, and amino acid levels.[Chinese Journal of Animal Nutrition, 2010,22(2):259-266]
